Shipping Policy

The Archive Hollywood is a regional, in-person costume rental house serving costume designers, stylists, wardrobe departments, productions and performers across Los Angeles and Southern California. Because of the unique, one-of-one and time-sensitive nature of the archive, we do not ship, courier or deliver.

1. In-person pickup and return only

All pieces rented from Marcosquared LLC are collected from and returned to our showroom:

Pickup and return times are scheduled in advance. Walk-ins for pickup or return may not be accommodated without a confirmed appointment.

2. No delivery, courier or freight

We do not provide courier service, same-day delivery, freight or third-party shipping, and we do not arrange them on your behalf. You are solely responsible for your own in-person transport of rented pieces in both directions.

3. Responsibility during transport

Responsibility for a piece begins when it is released from our premises and continues until that piece is physically received and accepted back at the showroom by The Archive. That applies regardless of who is carrying it — you, an employee, an assistant, a runner, a production representative, a driver or a courier you have engaged. Pieces left outside the showroom, handed to a third party, or left in any unattended location have not been returned.

Marcosquared LLC is not responsible for:

  • delays caused by traffic, weather or your logistics;
  • damage during transport by you or your representative; or
  • loss or theft in transit.

4. Release to your representative

We may release pieces to your employee, assistant, agent, courier, driver, production representative or any other person you authorise or arrange. Release to that person is release to you, and responsibility passes to you at that moment. We are not required to verify that person's authority beyond identification.

5. Transport arrangements by approval

In limited, pre-approved cases we may agree in writing to a specific transport arrangement — for example, collection by a named production courier. Approval is at our sole discretion, must be confirmed in writing before release, and does not change Section 3: risk of loss and responsibility for condition remain with the renter throughout, and additional conditions or fees may apply. This is not a shipping service and we do not become the shipper.
